The Poachers is perfect for those social afternoons and evenings. Although nowadays with slightly more distance involved than in the picture above!

We are open all day, every day and are so close to Exeter, the M5 and A30, that our location is an easy stop off point for commuters, workers and just people that want a quick pint!

Our location is also ideal for those informal business lunches and meetings when customers can take advantage of our free WiFi internet access to catch up on what’s going on back at the office.

We hold regular quiz nights, quite often organized by the Ide Twinning Committee. They are great fun and you don’t have to be Einstein to take part. Everyone is welcome.

We also like our rugby here at The Poachers, so if England are playing don’t be surprised to see a large mirror in the bar replaced by a plasma screen! Don’t worry though, if you are not into the gentlemen’s game, there are plenty of areas where you can still eat and drink in peace! Unless we ever get to a final again of course!

Dogs are also welcome at The Poachers, as long as their owners are well behaved. Remember, there is no such thing as a poorly behaved dog, just a badly trained owner!
